The lighthound link redirects to the main page. Please explain which of the (currently) 7 different UV lights they stock you mean to indicate. The CPF thread begins with questions about a 12 LED light from lighthound, but it is not clear what you are pointing to.

Not noticeably brighter on high/49 than it is on low/12 when running alkalines. When all the LEDs go on they're dimmer than the 12 running bright. Just as much stuff flouresces just as bright ion high or low.

I'm just learning from reading the forum that different batteries may help.
Any suggestions?

Light output is the right color =not much and a nice blue - not purple, strongly flouresces a huge area with a good range. Actually kinda overkill.

I have the Kaidomain UV coin cell keychain lights on their way to me. I will post here when I have tested them on UK banknotes.

I believe the UK notes are best at around 365nm. I have an ebay 8 Led AA light that will light up Credit Card logos and some overseas notes, but won't touch the UK notes.

I got the KaiDomain UV coin cell lights today. I can confirm, that under normal lighting conditions they cannot be used as money detectors on Great Britain banknote. In the dark, you can see a tiny variation where the UV ink is, but only just :(

I have the top middle one from here

http://www.lighthound.com/index.asp...earch=GO&Page=1

It finds the mark on my credit cards, various UV glowing novelties I could find, and pee (public toilets under UV are NOT pretty!). I couldn't find anything on UK bank notes though. The glue round the silver part is a bit clearer but I don't think that's it. Anyone tell me what I'm looking for and I'll try again?

I would like to give them as gifts to people so that they could detect urine and counterfit bills.
No information is given about wavelength.

Gifts? For finding animal pee and fake money? Hope your friends don't take it the wrong way. Might get you :banned: from any future secret santa arrangements... :santa:

It may sound like I'm teasing; but if I got one of these as a present, I'd probably think it was the coolest thing ever.
