I'm looking for a holster for my L5 that will carry it bezel down. I don't like those nitrolon ones Surefire sells (V72?) because it scratches the light and it rides WAY too high on the waist. I guess I'm going to have to go custom. Is John Willis still making them? I haven't seen or heard anything about him in a while. I'm looking for it to have the following specifications:

Bezel down, so it would have to have a "boxed" bottom
Ride BELOW the belt line - I would like end of light to be just a tad lower than the top edge of the belt.
NO drain grommet - I can't stand those, they let more junk in than out in my opinion.
Slot pockets on each side for a small pen (like my bullet Fisher space pen) and the pocket clip on a knife to slide into.
Good construction - 1000 denier Cordura or better nylon, black of course, not too loose on the light but not too tight either.
Buckle closure, not velcro.
I'd like belt loop to be able to be released while on belt, and fit up to 2" belts. (that would have to be velcro) I have an idea on how to do that so you don't have to loosen or undo belt to get on and off.
Some light padding would be nice but not necessary. Doubling up the nylon on sides and bottom would be fine.

Check out RipOffs holsters. They might have what you want. I really like their clip on holsters. I've used their clip on holsers for years and never had any problems, except that the velcro on the flap cover will wear out eventually. I think I got about 2 plus years of EDC before the velcro started to get worn to the point that it was noticeable.

Here's a link to RipOffs web site. They don't sell direct and you will need to order from a internet dealer.

Here a link to FilmTools (a on line dealer). I'm not sure if I've ordered from them or not, but I had the link saved for RipOffs holsters.

If FilmTools dosen't have what you want, you can call RipOffs for contact information on a stocking dealer.

RipOffs is just a brand name they are not a knock off or ripping any body off.

I have used various RipOffs holsters for ARC LSHP, ARC4+, Leatherman Juice, Surefire L4, Surefire A2, Surefire E2E, Inova X5 and Princeton Tec-Tec 40.

RipOffs went belly up right? May be hard to find certain ones.

RipOffs was going to close, but there were so many requests from customers to stay open that they sold the company to US Armor Corporation.

RipOffs are still available.
