Any new low self discharge batteries that are cheaper than 9.97 for a 4 pack of AA's. I can get eneloops or imedion's for that but I need a bunch for kid toys. I'm also trying to avoid ones that looks just like alkaline like the duracells or rayovac's as I've come home and found alkaline in the chargers and am, missing some rechargeables.

This is my biggest fear. I just ordered a C9000 battery charger and 12 more rechargeable batteries to go with my 16 eneloops. My house is going through batteries like water. I'm afraid everytime the kids change the batteries in the Xbox controllers the old rechargeables will end up under the couch or in the garbage.

When the shipment gets here there will be a family meeting on batteries. If it will do any good.

I have eneloops already, I cleaned out the local circuit city and hhgregg. I'm wanting different ones for the kids so they don't get mixed up with mine. I'll go order some of those from battery junction, thanks

WalMart has the Kodak Pre-Charged AA at $8.97/4 -
they are usually displayed with the camera accessories where you find flashcards etc., and not at the usual battery displays.

I suspect/speculate that the Kodak Pre-Charged may be re-badged GP ReCyko see Post #12 in Kodak Pre-Charged NiMH

However, personally, if I could find eneloops at <$10/4 - I would prefer to buy eneloops

I have some of those that I use in a Uniden scanner.

Here is the link

I also have some of the AAA Titanium Enduro LSD that I use in 3xAAA 9-LED flashlights.

I also use those cells in my lights and there great.......you just cant beat the price on the Titaniums, i charge them up using my Superbrain at 0.5amps per cell and they dont even get warm at all.

That's too funny. Personally, I would just jam the new charge in there in a couple of minutes with my 7.5A super-charger.

Thats the name of the charger that i use.....lol its made be MRC since its a secondary charger i use for RC's.

Did shipping seem high from battery junction to you guys? Cheapest option was $9 for 4 packs of 4 AA's.

Not sure how shipping is calculated. It's $5.45 to ship 1 pack of 4 AAs by first class mail and then it goes up marginally from there.
I expected it would have been less to ship within the US.

I paid $17.50 to have 2 4-packs of AAs and 4 4-packs of AAAs (24 batteries and 6 battery cases) shipped to Canada. Mine were shipped in a well packed 4x4x8 box.

I was looking for a thread where this question wouldn't be too far off topic.

I saw Energizers with 2100mAh on the package a while back. I looked all over the package for the words Low Self Discharge and could not find them.

But with Non LSD at 2650 and other brand LSD at 2100 what do YOU suppose the story is on these 2100 Energizer?

OH and they don't look like the old 2100 Non LSD I have around here either.

I've been buying 4 packs of Duracell "Eneloops" for $7.99 from Office Max. These do look different from real Eneloops if that helps you.

That's a really good suggestion....
and DuraLoops @ $7.99/4 is a fantastic price -
is that a regular or special Sale price?
as I can't find them at OfficeMax.com.

EDIT - Ooops, I do see that the OP wants to avoid batteries that look like Alkalines - which the DuraLoops do....
But $7.99/4 is still a great price......

Thanks

There should be a post on this in the Marketplace forum but basically here's the deal:

There's a $10 off $20 purchase printable coupon floating around that expires on 1/3/09. I've used this about 5 times already with no problems.

4 pack Duracell "Eneloops" are $12.99. Buy 2 packs for $26 - $10 coupon = $16 for 8.

8 pack Duracell 2650 mah are $19.99. Throw in a cheap filler to get it above $20 and you have 8 of these for about $10.

Needless to say I've been trying to stock up before January 3.
