LOCO is more like it.
Yes, I wish ALL mfg's would get away from the "pure white light" BS. Ain't no such thing - and certainly not from an incandescent source.

Maybe 75 min at the most...

What should I expect?

Truthfully, I had far better expectations for this light...

Maybe someday they(arc) will come out with side emitting led matched to a reflector.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I don't have what you have but I do have an SLS2. It runs barely 2 hours before moon mode on 2 AA NiMH batteries. IT should get the same out of 1 DL123.

My LS1 rev2 got 2.5 hours on 2 AA NiMH batteries.

Truthfully, I had far better expectations for this light...

You photo's look pretty convincing. You should get your twist pack replaced with a functioning one, but other than that?

I don't like to estimate run times because everyone's results can vary, but you should get at least 2 hours with a good 123 cell and the rev2 (330mA green board).

I personally think that 75 minutes is a bit short and may indicate either a defective unit or an especially high Vf LED. Either way, we will take care of it if you want.

These units should have no problem squeezing more run time from a single 123 than a SF.

I am sorry I didn't communicate better in this thread.

I'm sorry, but I thought "SF" stood for SureFire.

What do you mean by "more run time from a single 123 than a SF?"

Thanks!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I think the phrase was to compare 123 in an LS vs 123 in the SF E1 as a relative comparo rather than state an absolute runtime, and that the LS should whoop the E1.

fc -- beautiful shots!

May I beg for just one more? If you have a Gag AA
wink.gif
, could you please do a pic just like the first but having AA vs the LS? I don't have an E1 and have no clue how "15 lumens" compares to something I know.

Binky, if I can get my hands on a AA Mag, I'll take some pics. I got a 3D if you wish...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Here you go, it's a 2 AA Mag vs an LS2 Blem. Not an LSH Premium but it's close:

Sean,

I expected:
2hour run time
A box
A manual
A warranty card
A split ring
Working tailcap/cell holder
Clean lens
No "rattles"

I really think ARC should bump the price by few $, and include above items.

As for a non-working tailcap and run-time, Peter has addressed those issuses already.

My M3 has somebodys fingerprints all over the reflector, and it drives me NUTS. I guess I'll just have to live with it...

You should get 2 hour runtime & a working tailcap as a minimum.

I knew their was no box but hopefully their will be one soon.

As for the split ring, manual & warranty card I agree 100% these should be included.

The clean lens is hit & miss. I've gotten both. At least it can be exchanged if this is the case. Even though it's a pain to ship back.

Thanks guys! LSH-P on the way! I can sense the time horizon expanding as the FedEx 2-day wait will seem like forever... Oh well, just that much more time before my wife tries to knock some sense into me with that old fryin' pan.
