Does anyone have this light yet?I'm hoping the QC is better on these than on most asian lights.

DON

Quite many have. If you use the search function, type in Lumapower M3 and chose only threads, youll get a bunch of reviews and opinions.

QC on Asian lights is exactly as QC on American, European, African, Arctic, Australian etc etc. If you buy a light from a higher quality company, the chance is bigger that you'll get a good light...

As well as this is true, it is also misleading, as more ( by %) of Chinese lights are "lower" quality lights.
In fact, most are designed ro resemble higher quality lights in hopes of siphoning some business

I like the "u2 style" or ultrafire instead of surefire example. American companies do not do this.
They also will ape the looks of there lights. I.E fenix "clones", Though fenix of course not an american light. You would not find an american company doing this as risk or lawsuits or "getting your a$$ kicked".

It is all in the marketing.

Don,
I have one. Its made well, not the brightest light but very rugged. Where are you located in CNY? I'm near Ithaca, if you are close and you want to see it send me a private message and we can setup a meeting. I also have the M1 and Mini-D
Heli.

Well, by chosing the "u2 style" clone as an example, you didn't exactly chose the most respected manufacturer to begin with, allthough funny enough, most people who bought the clone are very pleased by it, quality and output-wise. I can agree with that cloning and copyrigh issues is much more frequent in China due to non-existent copyright laws, but China isn't the only country in Asia. And cloning happens in the states too, when it comes to flashlight, IIRC Brinkmann did a minimagclone. But back on topic.
