Lumens Factory D26 LED and G2 - Happy Together?

I've been tossing around the idea of getting an LED head for my trusty G2, which currently hosts a LF HO-6. I really like the HO-6 and am glad I got it. I am concerned about thermal issues, given SF's own issues with LEDs and the G2. Have any of you wonderful people tried this combo? What were the results and were you happy with them? Inquiring minds (I have at least two, or at least two pieces) want to know!

It will probably not work well for continued use. My friend who bought a Solarforce R2 pill from me for his G2 lasted about 10 minutes of straight use. It got hot from lack of heatsinking and the inductor coil inside melted off just enough of the magwire insulation to short out to a conductive trace on the board it was sitting against. The overall construction of the LF LED units is fairly similar. You are going to need more heatsinking for long term steady state use.

I would recommend a Malkoff M60L series unit if you want continued on state run time.
