Wow, that's a lot of light coming out of the head there.

petrev, I know I'm probably missing something but how do you manage
to fit 6 17500s in the M6 body?

What modifications do you have to make?

Good question, I haven't receved the IMR cells from AW yet to test out. I'd imagine it's not very long but that's fine by me; I'll happily sacrifice runtime in favor of form factor. I may be alone in this regard though.

Bruce, does this set up work? I just want to make sure, because I'm hearing that the 16340 IMR cells are kind of short in the Leef bodies. I hope the M3 body doesn't have the same problem. I'm with you on running with this set up.

We'll find out soon enough , my IMR16340's won't be here for a few more days probably. I post my findings in this thread.

black bolt, if the cells are short you can extend the (+) contact screw on the module to compensate. There's at least 1/4" adjustment, more if you use a longer screw (#6-32 X 3/8" included).

The screw allows adjustment to contact different cells/holders as mentioned, and can be fine-tuned to increase tailcap spring pressure so the light doesn't blink when shaken.

Well, considering I have Bruces light, I can tell you it works just fine on 3 X IMR16340's on an M3T/M3/L6 body.....and looks Beautiful!!:faint:
BTW....The dust on the front is on the OUTSIDE...should wiped it off first.:ohgeez:

Dennis, my turnkey LZ M6 Tri-P7 light arrived today.
It looks absolutely awesome in every respect and your build is absolutely magnificent.
I think this is the most handsome as well as the brightest light in my collection.
Many thanks.

Hi LZ

Just thinking

I can of course make the 6x17500 carrier in a 6s or a 2s3p version

Would that work for any of your various versions ? ? ? Probably not !

Possibly the MZXR-5 but I see you are using 6 X RCR123 in stock holder and that is a 3s2p carrier (not 7.4V as in ref section) so I think all would require 3s cells to work with the Blue Shark.

I have done a 3s2p carrier before but it requires a middle board and then the first tail O-ring would show again . . .

Ah well

Cheers
Pete

Re: Orders/sales for M-Zeppelin Surefire M6 LED heatsink kits and builds

Pete, the MZOX-4 will run nicely on a 6s 17500, as well as the MZP7-3 with a Shark Buck.

The 3s2p is ideal for the XR-7 and XR-5, and the XR-5 can run off 2s3p as well.

And thanks for catching my mistake regarding the voltage of the RCR123 in the stock holder. I've edited that post.

Now that you mention it, the XR-7 and P7-3 could be powered by 6 X 16340 in the stock holder, though 3 X 17670 would be a better solution.

Pete, that's correct.

Thanks for doing that, and for considering offering your holders.

I posted interest in the carrier and cup:D

And :paypal: for the 3XP7 heatsink set and the cutdown 27mm reflectors. Now I need emitters and electronics:devil: Thanks again Dennis,

Pete, thanks for moving forward with your 6 X 17500 holders and short tailcups.

Keith, thanks, list updated.

I'm hoping to have the sinks ready to go by the end of this month.
