am thinking of getting the mag lite 3 d cell flashlight,,,have leds already so am looking now for an inca, what are some good mods for this light for better higher lightnoutput ,,run times ,,better reflector ..bulb ,,glass lens ,,,anything,,,thanks,,,this is going too be my new project,,,thanks,,,

Lets just say the only thing that you'll be keeping will be the body.

A 9AA battery holder, new lens. reflector modding of the switch is needed.

Do a search and you should be able to find threads that can answer all your questions better than I can.

ok,,,mag 85 out the door,,,,am just gonna change the reflector, bulb,,and lens,,,,have the lens covered,,,,but need some good advise on a good bulb , and reflector,,,looking for brightness , throw ? and total wideness ? keeping this light inca,,,,thanks

The turnkey system referred to above contains a camless stippled reflector and a couple of potted Welch Allyn 1185 bulbs.

:huh2: Vic2367... were you able to view the link above? Since you don't even have a 3D mag yet, and all the peices are there, it seems to be ideal for your situation....:)

yes, I think that with the rop low you don't have to mod the switch.

but with the rop high the switch will probably melt in 20/25 minutes....
