Maha C9000 Top-Off after "Done"?

I've read on the forum that the Maha C9000 charger does a top-off charge after the charger says it's done.

Is this a bug? Or is this a feature?

From my reading there seems to be a lot of charging algorithms and perhaps it's a complicated "feature" or "bug" to fix. If it's a bug, is it easily fixable by Maha? Perhaps it will be fixed in the future.

Thanks,

Jake

It's not a bug, it's designed into the charger and is mentioned in the manual. The topoff charge is 100 mA for 2 hours after the charge has completed. The maintenance charge is 10 mA and is a trickle charge to keep the battery full. If I understand correctly, you will see the voltage increase during this topoff phase, up to 0.02V, but the displayed mAh capacity will not increase as that calculation has already been performed.

Then...for maximum charged capacity, it's not really done until 2 hours after it says it is done. Right?

Why doesn't it just say it's done 2 hours later, after the top-off charge?
Or does Maha not think the top-off charge adds much value?
Perhaps they include the feature to provide us with as much as they know how to give, even though it might just be a small amount?
