Help everybody...I need some Surefire gurus here to help me! I have a Surefire M2 that I use with the SW02 tailcap...For my work I like this tailcap better. Well, I added a Malkoff M60 to this light and wow...what an excellent drop-in...except that there is a connection issue. When the light is jarred the drop-in loses a solid connection for a fraction of a second.

Before anyone asks...yes I purchased and use the spacer that Gene recommends. Here's the weird part. I took off the SW02 tailcap and put on the original LOTC and ta-da...the problem goes away! No rattling and no loose connection.

Any suggestions on how to get a solid connection when I am using my SW02 tailcap?

HELP!

Thanks,
Dan

Is there a difference in the length of the spring on the lotc and the sw02?

that would appear to be the problem...when the light is on with the SW02 on...and the light is in a vertical position...pointing up or down and it is jarred...the light flickers form a weak connection...if you shake it...you can hear a slight rattle....if you use the lotc...no such issue or slop...

I wonder why this isn't an issue with the incan Lamp Assemblies?

it might be because the switch module in the lotc is further front then the other one?

different spring on the malkoff and incan. probably has less play overall.

You might see if you can get a spare tailcap spring from sf, the one with my clicke switch works fine.

It would appear to be the spring in the SW02... I rattled the light enough with the incan LA in...and ta-da...it also shorted out...darn...I hope Surefire will fix it and not replace it with a different tailcap...I like the feel of the SW02 and would hate if they replaced it with a different one!

Thanks for the help!!!
