Malkoff M60WL compared to P90

I just got a Malkoff M60WL to put in my Surefire 9P. I have not seen any reviews comparing the M60WL and the P90 so below are my initial impressions:

The brightness seems to be a little bit less than the P90, but not significantly so. It seems to throw as far as the P90. The tint of the light is nice. It does not seem 'cold' at all (like most of the other LEDs that I have seen). The beam has a bright hotspot in the middle and a good amount of spill. It works well for walking the dog at night and seeing things in the distance as well.

Unfortunately, I do not have anything to measure the brightness or anything like that.

Quick question: How would the Fenix L2D CE compare to this dropin? The Fenix store has them 25% off with coupon code priority25 now and I am really thinking about getting one!

I'm wondering how the Malkoff M60WL's brightness and throw compares to the brightness and throw of the stock Surefire incandescent P60. The Surefire P60 is rated at 65 lumens while the Malkoff M60WL is rated at 100 lumens. But I'm not sure if that means the M60WL will be brighter since there is no standard on how manufacturers rate their flashlights lumen levels.
Anybody know how these dropins compare?

Thanks.

crazyk4952,

I don't have the M60WL, but I recently tested the M60LL, the P60 and P90 in this thread:

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=216438

The P60 is in post 5
The P90 is in post 19
The Malkoff M60LL in a 6P host is in post 67
The Malkoff M60LL in a G3L host is in post 110

I have a Malkoff M60 on order and will post the graphs of that in a 6P and G3L host in a couple of weeks. Hope this helps with your answer.
