Hello, I've been looking to buy a Maratac AAA, but don't want to spend $8.50 for shipping... is there another place, other than county comm, that I can buy one? I know the ITP A3 EOS is essentially the same thing, and I may opt for that... but I would really rather have the Maratac version with the better knurling (in my opinion) and tailstand ability.

I don't know where else you can get them. I'd happily pay the shipping but they don't ship to the UK at all. :( The copper ones look sweet!

You need to use your noggin, really it is very simple,I do this all the time on my toy collecting forum. We all have our members that become internet buddies and chat via some other source such as msn, email etc.

Get one of your US buddies (when and if you do) to buy the light and post it on to you.You just pay all the costs via Pay Pal,easy and simple.

I wanted a Matchbox Landrover that was not sold in the UK,the forum moderator sent me one free of charge and I just re paid the favour at a later date as he needed a UK only model.

I am sure someone reading this will help you out and you cover all his postage and purchase costs, dead easy.lovecpf

He can also mark the customs form as a gift and lower the value so no customs are due either, been doing it for years with my toys.
I had a nice pack of pens sent to me the other day,as a member knew of my collecting habit on those as well.

We used to do this on a wristwatch forum I used, and generally speaking it worked very well. It's just that I've been away from here for a good while, and don't really get to know people outside the actual forums. I guess it's that British reserve in my genes. They do say on their website they hope to be shipping internationally soon, I just don't understand what the problem is.

I am sure a good member will get in touch with you.

I would also be very interested in skipping the $8.50 shipping, if someone knows of another venue.

Thanks in advance.

Well maybe we can work something out then. Perhaps I could buy two - one for me and the one you want - shipping cost would be the same for the both as for just one. Then you pay me the cost of yours plus the shipping. When I get the items I would send you yours and would pay to ship it myself. I imagine shipping it to you would be a lot cheaper for me than paying the shipping from county comm... What do you think? Perhaps we could work out further details through PM if you're interested?

Perhaps a group buy would be in order...? Have a trustworthy member buy however many is wanted, then forward them out. Everyone would then split the cost of shipping - and of course their order?

Zelph81, thanks that's a very kind offer. Just at the moment my 'hobby' funds aren't up to it, I've recently bought a Quark mini, iTP A3, several knives and ordered some stuff from DX :sigh:. However, if you're still up for it in a couple of weeks I might take you up on it. The only thing worrying me now is if I needed to return it. Would they ship a replacement or repaired light to an international address, or would I need help there too?

Does anyone understand what's holding them back with international shipping, if - as they say on their site - they're hoping to be able to ship internationally in the future?

County Comm is the only place that sells them. But several sites sell its twin, the iTP EOS A3. Main differences are the keychain post that sticks up out the top of the iTP (along with the crappy chain and keyring) and grooves instead of checkering on the body and head of the light. All else, including function, are exactly the same.

The Endtimesreport webshop has the Maratec AAA in stainless steel. Don't know about US shipping costs, but they ship overseas too.

They have $4.95 shipping for me, but only the Polished SS version unless that is what you wanted. :D

Yep, I already have an A3 and it does the job, but iTP don't make them in copper. I think the Maratac's just look a little better too with the knurling.

You can always try to put togeater a group buy and split the shipping costs.

I have both the polished SS and the copper, they are a great pair, they look great togeather work flawless, and I like SS med low hi sequence and Copper low med hi sequence each for different needs. They are great little lights.even if you have to pay the shipping.
