MCE Driver (Serial) - HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

i just bought a mce wired in serial on a mag d heatsink. thinking of running it on either 6aa or 3d nimh cells. i'm looking for a cheap driver, can anyone suggest one please? thanks!

If it makes it easier I would also consider 9aa?

You would have many more options if your batteries provided a higher voltage than the four LEDs' combined Vf of around 14V.

Take a look at the boards on TaskLED.com such as the Fatman and MaxFlex. Input current needs to be kept below about 2A, so that limits your battery options to those that provide a voltage of at least 6V. 6 AA cells will work, but 3 Nimh D cells will not. You will need to heatsink the board as well.
