McGizmo spot light recommendation?

Understood but does he do anything like a spot or just floods?

Thanks,

Ed

If you're looking for something extreme in the flood or spot world McGizmo is not it. You could read up in the McGizmo faq. Some dude named Kiessling really put a lot of time in it:

You could also do a search on "flood" or "spot" or maybe even search for the actual use you're intending. I know, crazy idea.

McGizmo's lights generally have very useful beams that are a nice mix of spot and flood and are made for everyday tasks; "low" setting for up close work and "high" to light up an area and farther use.

The light click here has a bright Cree LED and 3 level converter.

High is 700ma and I have found that the 19mm head and Cree provides a slightly more "spot" beam that the original Aleph 2.

Perhaps this will help....good luck, in my experience, you cannot go wrong with a Mcgizmo light!

I`d like to add: get a Mule head and you have the "Flood" covered....!
And then get into the whole custom-LE thing and get something you like from the different modders making them...

To the OP:
Search and you will find........;)

Actually, the LS20 that I use now is the "best" light; "flood" on low and a nice bright "spot" with spill on high. There are many LS20 reviews and beam shots and after owning and using most of Don's creations, the LS20 is the light to EDC.

Don has made a few "throw" lights including the HD45 and Aleph 3, but above all else he is the leader of the CPF cogniscenti who understand that flood beams are the most useful, so most of his lights concentrate on that. ;).

The Surefire 6P actually has a fairly floody beam, maybe even more floody than the high setting of an LS20. The LS20 has been praised by several wise CPF'ers as the best EDC light that has yet been made by anyone.

What do folks think of the 27LT - please remember that I'm a newbie at this stuff.

Thanks,

Ed

How bout instead of asking vague and generally useless questions (It doesn't matter what we think about a light if its not what you need). You tell us what you are going to be doing with the damn thing? Mostly outdoor long range illumination or up close indoor detail? Give us something to go on and we will work with you other wise you'll just end up with people ignoring your thread.

edseas2 ... like mossy said ... we need more details about what you want from the light. What will it be used for, what are the minimum requirements for throw and flood, what batteries, runtime, LED or incan, size of the light ... you name it.

Only then you will get good advise. All of Don's lights are great lights and have their use, but some of them are rather specific in their "mission" and you really need to know what you want.

Gosh -

I thought that by posting that I wanted something that threw like a Surefire 6P made by Don (if available) would be sufficient...instead I get:

"How bout instead of asking vague and generally useless questions"

When I was extremely precise and not at all vague...I guess English is no longer being taught in our schools, "N'est-ce pas?"
