Hi,

here's my m@g mod:

3D cut down to 2D, tri-bore with custom tailcap.
finned head
"Der Wichtel" - triple P7 set with buck
3 P7 - DSVNI
UCL-lens
15 2/3a 1500mAh NiMh (3* five in a row)
"special" modded switch

Not really EDC, but I love this build!
the body of the torch is "+". One spring goes straight to switch and buck (-). The other 2 springs are soldered together. clean, simple and easy.

Very creative!! :twothumbs

You should add some desoldering wick (Entlötlitze) across the springs since they have higher resistances

What does the tail cap look like? Can you take a picture of what the 2/3A cells look like in the flashlight?

Each spring has less than 35 mOhm, that makes a total voltagedrop of about max 200mV (at 2A). I dont care about :naughty:

The cells measure 17mm*29mm.
Average Voltage is 1,25V, discharging 2C or less. (max discharge 20C)
The 1500mAh are thrue, and no China-numbers ;)

All over i have a amount of 28Wh and more than 50min on high.

Tailcappictures coming soon, i have to modify the contacts a bit before taking public pictures :D

By the way: Wichtel's Buckdriver is really amazing. OTB it pushes 2,68A into my P7's :twothumbs

My innovation: No need of a batteryholder in a tribored!
Just modify the switch like this:

Change to momentary. Connect Buck"+" witch screw. Buck"-" witch bottomplate of switch.
Solder S3 with top of switch.
Glue a spring to bottom and connect witch "-"bottomplate. Solder 2 springs together and glue them on to the switch.

Now you will need a custom Tailcap-connector. Just look at the pictures.
1 connector goes to the tailcp "+" (the soldered wire), the other two just loop thrue. The tailcap squeezes connector & Batterys together. That's it!
Watch out cause of polarity, else you get a big :poof:
