after talking lites for sometime with my buddy groundhog, he recommended this lite and i got lucky on a wave and picked one up....I like to take my 3 dogs out for walks late and one of our stops is a school with a very large field.

i like to take them to the middle of the pitch black field...unleash them and let them run...the throw on this light is amazing !! i carry this and my M6 and between the 2 i can quickly spot all 3 dogs anyplace in a couple hundred yards.

the only thing i wish this lite had is a clicky switch....is there a way to convert it ?

You'd have to buy another 1-cell McGizmo with a c-pak...or find someone with a 1x123 c-pak they want to sell. They aren't available separately.

Yes, you can switch to a C-Pack which is a powerpack with a clicky switch. You will loose the momentary activation sequence low-high though and only have momentary according to your current position of the head.

It looks like this, here presented with an XR-19 head:

Here's the rear end disassambled:

You just need to master the one-handed head twisty operation. Once the threads are broken in, the one-handed twisty operation of a McGizmo PD is my favorite method of operation of all my lights. It helps if you tweak the Kilroy switch so that the light goes from low to high in about 1/8 of a turn to make it easier.
If you remove the head, you will see a stiff wire in the shape of a U. You can bend that slightly up or down to adjust the amount of twist of the head it takes to go from low to high levels of light.
Buying a C-pack isn't really an option since they are not for sale anywhere on planet Earth at this time.
Good luck.

I;ve had a XR19-C and now have a mcLuxIII-T (seouled) and my threads are really, really smooth. I like the T more than I liked the XR19-C, and I liked the C already a lot.
But the T is better waterproof (less points of entry) much smaller, gives about the same lumens and it really cool to play with :)
Ow and it is very good in EDCing, especially when worn in a Holester!
Be sure to use Krytox 50/50 from the sandwichshoppe, (I use GPL260 Krytox in the summer when it is really hot, that works very nice, but in the winter the 50/50 is much better). Never the less I had a blister on my thumb for the first two weeks after getting this beauty. I think I even turned it constantly on/off/on/off while sleeping :D
Now I got some callosoty(?) on my thumb, so there won't be any blistering anymore.
Is this now called flashaholic-syndrom? :D:D:D
