Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures Federal LG.

The silver E1B looks very sharp! I've always liked my E1B... here's my excuse to get another one (this time in silver) !

Has anyone seen them advertised anywhere for less than the standard $149?

Sure, many times... eBay is the way!

That would be one option.

Better still check the Marketplace here. I just bought a BNIB one for $90 shipped. I've seen them go for as low as $80 shipped on the marketplace. It's lower then even Ebay (and I'd argue safer as well). lovecpf

Thanks for the pricing input guys. Personally, I'm not a fan of Ebay, although they certainly are an option.

I did a little research of my own since seeing Federal LGs great pictures, and found the silver E1B for $110. I just posted a "Good Deal" thread over on the Marketplace for anybody interested. Click Here

Didn't mean to get this thread off topic. Again, thanks for the original post Federal LG.

Anyone got the addy for ordering a new pocket clip for the E-1B backup?

Can someone tell me which LED is inside my new E1B ?

I mean, brand, type, bin, exactly ?

Thanks!

Humm... :(

But maybe those modders (like Milky) could tell what LED is inside an E1B ?

It's a beautiful light. Saw the silver at the SF dealer today. The silver follows the higher pricing. There were a few older black 1EBs but I didn't have the $$ for that either. I bought a brick load of SF batteries though.

Great pictures !!!

I have two questions:

  1. What is the difference between the "old" and the "new" E1B ?
  2. Is the pocket clip removable ?

Just the silver color, no mode changes or anything. And yes the clip is removeable.

The only change is the color.

SUREFIRED... how do I remove the clip ? Thanks!

Man... I´m in love with my new E1B. Last weekend it made sucess during WWF Planet Hour. This little light is perfect!

All you have to do is remove the bezel and the o-ring and then press the "u-turn"(tailcap end) of the clip down against the edge of a table, with a good amount of pressure and it will pop off. Be careful though, as I almost cut myself doing so. PM me if you cant get it.

It can get very very tedious awfully fast...not to mention the frustration

I had swapped clips between 2 E2es, one E1e [just to see what a long clip would look like], 2 A2s, and 1 E2W
one of those E2es was unbreakable...I finally had to vice it down with some rubber boots on the vice jaw and pulled it free using an overhead pulley...which followed by me on my belly looking for that darned plastic insert:candle:

2 of my A2s were equally ridiculous... and the insert tabs aren't meant to be interchangeable either. When I paired the plastic tab from the E1e with that of one E2e body, the clips very loose, while the E2es tab in the E1e body nearly got destroyed putting it back in.

Sold long clips, got all short for most of my E lights, A2 excluded.

Note: the clips are stainless steel and not aluminum, so if theres a chance your method will bend the clip I'd suggest looking for an alternative route, and clips will snap if your not careful
