My recent builds

I finally upgraded my lathe and started to modify some Maglites. Here are the ones I've done so far:

Left- Direct drive (1) 18650 SST-90 Aespheric with custom bezel
Back- (3) 18650 Brightstar HID
Front (2) 18650 With DX 5-led reflector package 1200 lumen
Right- Direct drive (1) 18650 SST-P7 with DX 52mm reflector
Every one except for the copper one were just old lights that were damaged. So I would consider the copper one my first true project. I even threaded the barrel for the tail cap, something I had not done before!

Hey you gotta start somewhere! I actually mostly build dive lights and am building a selection of them to show beam patters and such. This way, I will have samples of most combinations of reflectors and LEDs... I'm sure the collection will never be completed, but hey gotta try.

Hey now be nice to the old girl!!! I got her for $300 and everything works! That was the begining of my $8 paint job she looks a bit better now... Not bad for a 1979 unit!
