I Need to find a 5.5 " led light that runs off AAA batteries. About a .5"-.7" diameter head that can be stored in a back pocket. I carry my keys for work on a kubaton and was thinking of replacing it with a useful light. The dorcy has a 45 lumen light that seems cheap and I was wondering if there is anything out there with better quality. I put great faith in your advice as I have purchased my past 2 lights based on your recommendations. Thanks in advance...

Streamlight sells a 2AAA light that is pretty decent. You could look at Peak for a 2AAA light (call and describe what you are looking for). I purchased a 2AAA light at Target that is about 15-20 lumens and is ok. These are the couple that come to mind.

The Steamlight Microstream might work. It's a bit short at 3.5" though. The Stylus Pro is 5.3" long and uses 2 AAA batteries so it would be a much better choice then the Microstream. Both use a clickie.

Neither one is very bright, but bright enough for normal use. You can also use the L0D-CE/LD01 head with the body (of both) which will give you more output and multimode.

Streamlight Stylus Pro is about 5.25. It is probably my favorite light, has been for a year now.

:poke:
Why not consider a Liteflux LF3XT with the AA battery tube they keep promising.

It shouldn't be much larger than an *AAA* light but it will burn longer.
