I have a Chinese knock off of a surefire M900 that I purchased on ebay. Sorry to say that it arrived dead and the seller has not answered any of my emails. The light is very nice and looks like it will serve well, once running. It was also over $100 with s/h.....

It's a CREE main lamp with two nichia navigation lights. The two smaller leds work fine and there is 8.5 v at the module. The switches all work fine leading me to believe that the CREE is dead. The main led is soldered in a Brass reflector.

Is there anyone on the board that would be willing to change out the LED for me? I'd love to have this running.

Suggestions appreciated and happy T day.

Have you tested the lamp by hooking up a battery direct?
If it does not light up, then there is a possibility the reflector is screwed down too far causing the reflector to short out the Cree.

The brass part looks so much like some DX dropin modules (specifically this one) that I think you might like to look into buying one of those and screwing it on. If that works, it's a very cheap and easy fix.
