Hi to all,

I've bought a 130 lumen version of Apex.
Unfortunately it looks like they've replaced the optics of the old version with somth new that gives a much wider flood.
I know many people like it but i don't :D

The 4 leds are enough for my wide angle needs. I'd like to replace the main reflector with somth that will give me a narrow spot (more or less like the stock optics on the 80 lumen version).

Can someone please give me a few models that can fit the Apex ?

10x!

You can look at the Khatod 20mm reflector from PhotonFanatic. It is a smooth reflector for the Seoul LED and it should fit with little, or no modification.

I can't find these posts now, but if my memory does not fail me than this reflector was used by these who were upgrading to the P4 and wanted wider beam.
I'd like to do the opposite. Get narrow beam...

I'm glad that I saw this thread. I'll probably be wanting to modify my new 130_lumen Apex, for more throw, also. 10 deg might be too narrow, for me, though (but perhaps not). Any idea if stock reflector is 15deg, 20deg, 25deg,???
Madcat, have you taken the stock optic out and measured it's dimensions yet?

I put a P4 and a McR20s in my old 65 lumen Apex. I had to sand the edge just a little bit and there is a slight gap around the edge of the reflector when viewed from the front. I think it looks and fits great though. I wouldn't call it a thrower but it gives a good balance of throw and spill.
