Need education

Hi everyone! I need to know where to go to get an education on lights. My experience is totally with incans except for a couple of Petzl head lamps. I have a few Stingers a Surefire E2d and used a mag charger for years as a cop simply because it was the brightest club around at the time. Most of the terms used here are new to me and I was hoping there is a thread or site I could go to to speed up the learning curve somewhat. Thanks.
