Need help please. Anyone have a Golight HID?

Magnalight.com offers a Golight converted to a 35W HID. Does anyone know what brand ballast and HID buld they use?

I bought a very small HID kit off od Ebay, but it is still too large to fit in the case.

Can anyone offer any help on this topic?

If someone has one of these units, internal pics would be a godsend.

Member Lips might know what they use, but if he doesn't know and Magnalight won't tell you, you're probably out of luck.

The HID lights come with a no-name ballast and bulb.


A super slim 50 watt ballast off ebay will fit inside of one of the older halogen lights and would be a nice improvement in output. You have to make room. You can change out a stock 35 watt ballast on the HID model to the super slim 50 watt by tearing out the old ballast. Not really worth the small pop in output considering the $ cost or trouble though.

The lens on those remote lights limits how much you can get out of them. You really have to blast it with power to make a big difference...
