Wow, anyone got or getting the new 26650 li-ion MC-E light that's on KD (SKU: S008171). Looks like a *perfect* host for the new SST-90 led which has 9.0A draw .. add a LiMn instead of the LiCo and what a setup.

Sadly, this is exactly what I was looking for half a year ago :ohgeez:Too bad its rather pricy for a generic quality light.

:mecry::crazy: I hate this forum !!! First came ArcMania's awesome OStar focusable light, next an overhauled Dereelight lineup and now this - all in a single month. How can I keep up :banghead:

These lights were never made or sold. I ordered 2 of them and got an email with my refund.:thumbsdow

Re: New 26650 cell MC-E light

Oh,
I see now.

2 weeks ago they had a similar set-up that took 2 C cells, but when I ordered they said they are out and will never carry it. Hopefully this one will actually be made and sold.:candle:

Do they really charge $75 for a KD light??? If you subtract $8 for the battery, that's still $67. Then at least I am well outside of my comfort zone for buying stuff from KD or DX.... but your mileage may vary. And for all I know the quality controll for these lights may prove excellent...

I would recommend checking the MG pli MC-E from shiningbeam that runs on 18650 batteries. It appears he runs out of them faster than he can get them, because they disappear and re-appear from his website. But you'll find an excellent review here:

For $60 or so I would definetively buy from a well respected dealer...

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize you were getting it for a DIY project.... Still a steep price... but good luck!

Yes, the price is too high at the moment - however, so far I think its the first of its kind on the market. I know I really wanted to find this form factor before without any success/

There are plenty of MC-E lights on the market already that take 1 (though mostly 2+) 18650. The beauty of this setup is that it uses a 26650 can source the higher amps required in a single cell without a rapid drop in runtime, while still being very convenient to hand hold or shove in a larger pocket if needed.

For around $40, I wouldn't hesitate, but this is a bit much ... still undecided.

Actually, I have 3 of those blue KD batteries for my P7 1D Mag build. The current at the tail is about 1.8A, but when I put the good quality IMR C cell the current jumps up to 3.24A at the tail. I get the same results when I use the KD D li-on cell.

IMHO: The C and D cells at KD are:sick2: Now AW needs to come out with IMR D cells....please..purty please.

I want buy too one of this flashlight but no way to find

I agree. No reason 26650 hosts should cost much more than 18650 hosts.

Welcome to CPF, tiigerclaw03.

You seem to have used a method of posting photos that doesn't work here. Take a look at this thread, which may help you, then have another shot at it. :)

Moviles,

I think Giga International is selling the same Torchlight Shooter .

They stock a DIY version w/o emitter or driver for $45, $129 for a complete DD SST50...

Check the Dealers section of the Marketplace
