Hello!

Been lurking these forums for 'bout a week now and thought it was due time for me to ask for some help chosing my first decent flashlight.:D

I'm looking for something that has long runtime with a high output and fits into a front jeans pocket.

Carrying it in a pouch on my belt is also an option but being a noob I don't know where to find such pouches :(

Oh, and price is not really a problem(to a certain extent ofc) as I will be getting my first salary this month ^^

What battery and how much output do you want?

I think a multimode light might be good for what you want. Lower modes for longer runtime and higher modes for more output.

For the size AA or a small CR123 light might work.

I'd suggest checking out Fenix, Olight, Nitecore, Lumapower, Kingpower, Liteflux, Surefire, Novatac.....(A lot of choices)

I think something like the Nitecore D10 might be good. Smaller size and the output can be set by the user.

:welcome:

Assuming you would like one that runs on 1 AA battery I'd say get a Fenix L1D-CE. It will fill your requirements. If using 1 AAA battery sounds better then consider the Fenix L0D-CE. Both are good solid lights around the $50 price range.

That's quite a lot of manufacturers I haven't heard of before.
Had only heard of Surefire and Fenix before to be perfectly honest.

Anyway, I checked them out and you seem to have chosen the perfect light for me in advance.

The D10 seems to be the perfect light for my EDC applications!

And I should have mentioned that I wanted somewhere around 120 lumens and AA or CR123 batts, but you managed anyway:D

Thanks again and I hope I'll learn a lot on this forum about my future addiction:D
