Do any of you use NimH batteries in MagLites?

I have a 2 AA mini mag (with bulb) but was thinking of getting the 2 AA LED.

I am also thinking about getting the AA to D adapters for my 3D LED lights. I have another thread about the adapters.
I am not planning on getting the D Nimh batteries. They are too expensive.

I've been using NiMH in the Mini Maglite 2AA LED for a year or so. Works fine. Look out for Low Self Discharge cells as mentioned in the batteries forum. You'll lots of useful information there. And you probably want a charger that can charge cells individually, rather than in pairs.

I use Duraloop NiMh cells exclusively in my EDC 2 AA Mini-Maglite with a Terralux TLE-5EX drop in LED upgrade. I mainly use them because they don't leak and because they remain charged for a long time. Reliability is a big concern for that light because it's my backup EDC light to my main EDC light, a Fenix LD20. The LD20 is also always loaded up with Duraloop AA cells.
