I really love my D10 R2 SP, especially the digital lockout function, this way the light should never come on in your pocket and it hasn't.
In the past few weeks I only noticed 2 times that it did come on in the pocket, this was strange because you have to push the piston 3 times really fast to unlock it.
I noticed that if you bump the back of the light into your hand or something else the light will turn on, this is because the battery disconnects and the light thinks that a new battery is placed.
That the light will be turned on after placing a battery is a stupid design IMHO.
For me this is not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind, I will keep EDCing it.

A few pics to enjoy this great tool.

I've found that the Nitecore PD series is a bit of an acquired taste. I personally hated the D20 because of the quirkiness inherent in the PD design.

I just tried smacking the back of my D10... that takes quite a bit of force to turn it on!

I don't think the light coming on is actually a design for when a new battery is placed in, I think its related to the twisty mode capabilities of the flashlight.

A glitch in the Matrix . . . isn't that what's called Deja Vu?

Does this model of D10 lock out well if you untwist the head? I would guess with the digital lockout as well as the de facto physical lockout that those of us with the infinitely variable D10s use, it would be pretty tough indeed to make it turn on. Not having one I can't verify it . . . really this second part of the post was just to make up for my bad joke in the first part of the post.
