Right here....
....Is that when I wear a jacket or (later) a winter parka, I can carry a bigger, brighter flashlight than in the summer.

With a jacket, I can carry my 2 AA NiteCore D20 R2, which I happen to think is a VERY nice flashlight..but far too big to carry during the summer, of course.

I certainly don't LIKE cold weather, or the soon to arrive -20C temperatures, but at least I have a nicer light for the early, long night, and the dark mornings, too.

When I'm skiing in the winter (not really a possibility anymore since I just moved to texas :duh2:) I can carry things like 1 liter nalgene in my pocket and no one even notices until I pull it out. I love that, you can fit basically anything in your pockets and it's invisible.

I've always been cold natured. Partly for the OP's reasons.

Mainly because...

You can always put on more clothes, but if you start taking them off, you'll eventually get arrested.

I carry the same flashlight year round, but like the colder weather w/ more clothes because it lets me conceal a bigger gun. :)

I always wondered if you could carry a PLR-16 comfortable in a puffy...

In addition to jackets = more pockets = more flashlights one can carry, one of the best things about colder weather, more so the winter, is no bloody bugs to annoy me.

I love Winter!

I get to stand outside with just a T-shirt on, while everyone else shivers in their winter coats. :twothumbs

LOL

I love wearing a jacket, usually means I get to carry an extra flashlight, multi-tool, lighter, and pepper spray.
