I did some trawling around the UK bulb suppliers and received one of each of these today:
64457 IRC 12v 65w(notional 90w)
64440 IRC 12v 50w(notional 75w)
64458S 12v 90w
64450S 12v 75w
All have vertical filament
Thinking of trying them with a 14.4v pack - does anyone have any experience of any of these? - I believe AWR has looked at the IRC's....

The 64447 will direct drive on 18 volts.
The 64458 will direct drive on 20 volts. 200 watt beast
The 62138 will direct drive on a rested 14.4 volt pack

Horizontal filament
The 64625 will flash on anything over 12.7 volts. SUPER white though
The 64623 will direct drive on 15.6 volts. 140 watt Mag623

I have/had lights using all of the above. The 64458 and 64447 will not be sufficiently overdriven on 14.4 volts.
Driven at 19.2-20 volts, the 64458 is UNREAL.
The 64447 is also great but has to be really driven at 18-19 volts
At 14.4 volts, I'd say the 62138 is about the best you're gonna get. Not only is the filament axial, but it's SMALL so it focuses better than the 458/447/623.

Is that pack voltage measured at the bulb? I was just wondering about resistance losses in switch and other contact points...Only because I thought I read somewhere (probably AWR) that the 62138 flashed somewhere over 13v. And IIRC that 13V+ was from a regulated power supply with no switches or anything extra besides wiring to connect...

I'm gonna have to go try to search now...lol busted searches.

I'll have to charge up the pack on my 138 and do measurements at bat and bulb. All my switches have the Vbat tap under the switch cover.
