I recently purchased a Cree LED flashlight from DX and it came with some wear on the reflector. Would it be possible to fix it with paint and if so what kind of paint should be used? I've used the search and everything I found was for orange peel. This is a plastic smooth reflector. Thanks!

Nope. Paint would make it less reflective

You could buy/fabricate a new reflector, or send it to a modder.

I have to agree with maxa beam, I have tried every type of chrome or silver paint, even higher priced auto paints and none of them are reflective enough if at all. The finish you see on Mag reflectors and sutch I believe is some kind of silver nitrate solution. The only thing I have had any success with is as far as refurbishing reflectors is with aluminum, just going to a highly polished surface. Here is the thread with the how to for an aluminum, if your reflector is plastic the cheapest most effective thing will probably be to buy a new one.

Well, since I can't fix the reflector with reflective paint how would I go by fabricating one? I've searched and posted on DX and they don't have just the reflector for sale.

There is a chance that if you post a "Want To Buy" in the market place for a reflector that goes to this light that someone may have one to sell you. If you can post a link to the light you have it will be easier to help you. There may be reflectors available from other sources, if the size of the reflector is known. here are some examples.
