pelican recoil upgrade?

Hi , I,m new at posting on cpf but have been lurking for some time so feel free to put me right! I have a 3610 little ed recoil that is a good little light but (you know what is coming next!) I want brighter and better from it, I'm ok with soldering and am an electrician so understand the centigrade volts,ohms & amps bit, so just need pointing in the right direction as to what will fit and wont turn poor old little ed into a molten blob! any advice will be appreciated.

Swap an SSC P4 in place of the existing Luxeon.
