Re: Nitecore D10

I use a D10 R2 for EDCing, and would call it adequate for walking my dogs in the neighborhood.

If I feel the need for more light, I take a Quark AA. (I use Energizer lithiums for both lights.)

If we walk further and I need even more light, I take a Quark 123(2).

I prefer the compactness of the D10 and Quark AA for EDC duty, and slightly prefer the Quark 123(2) for dog walking for increased visibility.

Hope this helps.
Can you please explain how the Quark AA is brighter than the D10 R2?

According to specs on 4sevens.com, the Quark AA max output is 90 Lumens, while the D10 R2's max output is 145 lumens.

The Quarks are rated conservatively (OTF Lumens) and the 145 of the D10 R2 is on a 14500 rather than a standard Eneloop AA.

145 lumens on the D10 R2 is on Eneloop AA.

"Runtimes on one AA
Max: 145 lumens, 50 minutes
Min: 3 lumens, 45 hours or 1.9 days!"
