Power Supply for AN/VSS-1

Out of curiosity, while cruising eBay, I found ads for the HID and Xenon short arc power supplys:

While you wouldn't be able to run the focus and such, would this power up the bulb? Just an idea.......

the an/vss-1 is a 24 volt light. This is a 220 volt supply. two different beasts. I am probably going to sell my entire st up, I have over 4,000 invested and will sell it for what the light cost.
