The guys are going nuts over Tropical Depression #4 that's about 1 week out.
"It's going to NYC!"
"It's going to hammer east Florida!"
"It's going to hammer west Florida!"
"It's going back out to sea!"
"It's going to New Orleans!!!"

In the meantime, I can't get any real updates on disturbance "Invest 91L"

Just all the models say it's coming this way. I've heard anywhere from a TD to a Cat1 hurricane. While that's relatively weak, in our realm of Texas, we've gotten SOAKED.

I know what you mean. I come from the tropical meteorology end of the house. Some weather bloggers act like some of us when there is a power outage . I guess it goes with the territory. The Gulf may yet see a very active tropical season. Don't sweat the bloggers. They're like armchair tornado chasers :grin2:

Good Morning Tropical Storm Dean.

What's weird about the blogs and armchair meteos is that almost all of them are like, "I have a bad feeling about this one."
"This storm reminds me of Wilma/Andrew/Ivan/Katrina"
"This could be The Storm."

What's funny, is that if that disturbance 91L develops into a TS, she'll be named "Erin". My sister-in-law's name is Erin. :(

Best of luck to the Hawaii peeps.
