Okay, I have a few of the 2AA to D parallel battery adaptors, so I can run my 4D maglite off rechargeable NIMHs, I am slowly saving up for battery carriers and metal reflectors to make a hotwire of some kind, but until then, i thought I would experiment a bit with an old light.
These carriers can take 2 batteries in parallel (facing the same way) to double the runtime, I want to double the voltage with a bit of cutting and pasting of bits and pieces.
Is this possible?
My plan is to cut the top plate in two, leaving the bottom plate intact, then routing a wire or screw or something from the top negative to the bottom and having a second metal plate at the bottom so top is still positive, and bottom is still negative.
This just seems to be a bit of fun, but anything I should know?
