Quick question about the SF G2Z

From what I've seen, the G2Z comes with 3 rubber grip rings around the light. I have seen some pics of G2Z's with just the flared grip ring and not the two flat ones. How "removable" are they? I haven't handled a G2Z yet but if I take off one of the grip rings, will it be possible to get it back on? How do they come off in the first place?

You can remove/replace them. It takes some stretching. I've done it several times.

I've tended to roll them off rather than try to stretch them off (if that makes any sense).
They are pretty easy to remove and replace. Doing it too many times may over-stretch them.

I didn't care for them at all on mine, so just took a common razor blade and gave them a quick 'hack'.

Yes, that's a great way to describe it. It's more rolling than stretching over.
