Hi,
I am a very fortunate owner of a Lummi light using a neutral white LED as opposed to a cool white. Orb was kind enough to ask me if I wanted to try this new LED out in my Raw AL and Wee NS. This is an option that Lummi will be offering on the website in the very near future.
The neutral white LEDs Lummi is using are Q3 bin (minimum 93.9 lumens at 350ma) which as far as I know are the best you can get right now.
The difference between the neutral and cool white LED is just staggering. It's like the difference between a 5mm LED and a cree. I tried them both outside side by side tonight (Raw NS = cool white, Raw AL = neutral white) and I was amazed at the difference. Reds/oranges jump out at you like you are using an incandescent; grass seems greener and more natural and it looks a little less like being bathed in moonlight.
I wasn't able to snap any outdoor pics tonight but I did manage to get some quick indoor pics that do show the difference!

Raw AL, neutral white (click to enlarge)
Both lights side by side, cool white on the left (click to enlarge)
Beamshot on the bottom of the underside of my cabin bed (click to enlarge)
The light is still whiter than incandescent (and has a lower CRI) but colours stand out a lot better. Tomorrow I'll see if I can get some nice outdoor pics using a tripod - and also comparing to my 2MCP spotlight. It really makes a huge difference!
