I posted this question in the LED section but it really belongs here. My problem is the longer length of the Ultrafire RCR123A batteries I tried using in my Led flashlight which worked fine with the shorter Tenergy RCR123A 3.7volt batteries. I would like to know if there is a safe technique to somehow shorten the length of the Ultrafires? Would it be safe to use a drift punch to depress the negative end of the battery so that the positive post of the other battery would fit into the recess? The extra length is interferring with some of the flashlight functions. I also have not been able to locate Tenergy 3.7 volt RCR123A's, what happened to them?

Safe technique is to throw those ultrafire batteries away and buy AW or Solarforce RCR123, because they have the same length as common CR123 battery. :D
