Reliable 3 mode 2x123 P60 dropin?

Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade an old G2 and 6Z and am looking for a 3 mode (low-med-high) dropin. The goal is a good separation of the 3 levels so I can do anything from change my car tire (enough spill, long runtime) to spot things at a distance. Are there any budget (<$25 or so) dropins that meet my needs? Thanks!

There is a Solarforce 3-mode R2 drop-in that doesn't cost much more:

Voltage: 4.2V-8.4V

CR123A 3.0v or 3.7v
100% brightness – 1.5 hours
40% brightness – 4 hours
10% brightness – 15 hours

You can find it on ebay and it doesn't cost much more than the DX drop-in, check for the one with a black label.

Some feedback on the Solarforce 3-mode R2 drop-in off ebay:

-took 19 days to arrive
-beam is ringy
-not much separation between med and low
-the picture has the black label, but the actual dropin does not, it's just engraved into the metal of the dropin

overall, very happy with the product, a good value.
