I have a couple of these lights, a GL3 that stays in the car and a G3 which does stirling work as my main bike light, its bright very floody beam is excellent in this regard.

I need a replacement lamp assembly so I have a spare (the reflector of the one in the G3 has 2 big bites out of it where the light has been dropped onto a hard surface more than once  but still functions)

Do LF do a bulb for these torches?

Otherwise I need somewhere with cheap shipping over the pond to England that stocks them, suggestions please.

The D26 modules from LumensFactory should work fine, but they are typically optimized for throw. The stock lamp assembly is probably comparable to the SR-9 or HO-9 in total output. The EO-9 would reduce runtime a fair bit but be a bit brighter.

Any D26 from Wolf-Eyes should also work.

Thanks, I've just checked and all my LF D26 lamps are at work, do the big outer springs come off the LF modules easily as I'm sure there is not room in the G3 for them.

I have just tried a DX cree drop in and there is no way it is going in

I believe that the current Wolf- Eyes is the old style Pila light. So everything should fit. Wolf-eyes, Pila, Lumens Factory, and Sure Fire P60- 61. Shoot a pm to Mike at PTS (US) or Glen at Quarterflash (AUS) to make sure.

Bagman, all thumbs and mdcod are right, I have a Pila and all WE and LF work. It is easy to get the LF spring off. Cheers

The outer rings on LF bulbs come off easily, use a flathead screwdriver to help pry it off. The new Pila bulbs' outer rings, however, has a small inverted point; therefore making it a bit harder to take on/off.

We designed the outer spring to be removable, so just pull it off until it is loose. You don't need to use any tools to do that and it will not damage anything.

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks for all the info, I'll try and remember and bring one home to try  :D

Putting it back on is a different story...:mecry::faint::party:

Dudemar, the easiest is hold one end of the spring and wind it on, it takes a couple to get the hang of it and then it seems quite easy.

I know, but I was referring to the newer Pila bulbs' outer ring. Try winding that one down.:green:

Sorry Dude, didn't realise, quoting Mark in your reply I incorrectly guessed you were referring to the LF lamp. Haven't seen the new Pila lamps, I am awash here in WE and LF lamps :)
