rofl trying to get credit

I have a friend, probably a shop-a-holic, who got into a lot of credit card debt and had a terrible time working it off. One thing she had to do was cancel all of her credit cards except for one emergency card. That one card she froze inside of a block of ice and kept it in her freezer. That way, if she ever wanted to use it, she would have to wait for it to thaw out, and by then she may have gotten past the initial buying impulse. It worked for her and she was able to remain prepared for an emergency expense.
