I am running a 2D ROP off of 7 enloop Nimh cells. I notice that even with the ROP low bulb it is considerably brighter than standard Nimh cells even off fresh charge. Anyone else have Like experiances?

eneloops have lower internal resistance than most consumer NIMH cells and will hold a higher voltage under a load under nearly any circumstance when compared. The only cells that are better than eneloops as far as resistance is concerned, are hobby grade cells designed for super high drain rates, usually marketed towards the RC crowd, many of which will deliver 20+ amps without breaking a sweat :)

how do you get 7 Eneloop cells in a 2D mag??????

my 2D only fits 6 cells with the Fivemega battery holder.

My light is quad bored so I used a 4 cell holder plus a 3 cell holder. I have had a lot of success running 6 accucore Low self discharge c cells in a 6D mag w/ inner spacer.

I've ran both rayovac 2500s and eneloops in my ROP mag and the difference that the eneloops brings is amazing. I didnt believe it until I saw the difference. The internal resistance of the eneloops is amazing and worth trying out for anyone running regular nimh batteries.

I have read somewhere that eneloops have and IR of about 46mhom...

BTW, I think in your situation less resistance = more insta-flashing...do you let batteries rest, right?

I thought stacking adapters wasn't recommended? Wouldn't a 8AA -> 2D holder with a dummy AA cell work better?
