Where to buy small metric electronics screws? I'm looking for roughly a 2 x 10mm plastic tapping screw. Screw is metal, but goes into plastic. It might be 1.5mm dia. Really, I'm just looking for a supplier of thesde replacement parts. . .

McMaster-Carr

If it's made, chances are, they have it. Just search for "tapping screws" on the left side, and you'll see more options than you care to. (2,885 different kinds :eek:oo: of tapping screws, to be exact).

Also, Grainger has a good assortment of parts if McMaster doesn't have what you're looking for.

I appreciate the help, but none of the links has a 2 x 8 or 10 metal tapping screw. Maybe I need to breat out the calipers and measure it, but I'm definately in the ballpark!

BTW, this all comes about because I was trying to take aapart my new Remington head lamp and stripped the recess of one of the screws. I dom't mind drilling it out, but would like to have extra screws!

I would check hobby shops since they tend to use smaller metric hardware; especially radio control shops.

Glad you like them... I've ordered from Reid for years & years. Their catalog is worth requesting, much better than their web site.

Small Parts is another niche company. Lots of stuff you can't find anywhere else.
