Will 2X18650 be enough to brightly power up the 350 lumen bulb? If so, whats the expected run time? I tried it with 2X17670 and its output was less than the 225 lumen bulb. If I go with 3X18650 do I risk blowing the bulb as hot off the charger the batteries are just about 4.1 volts giving a total of 12.3volts on a 12v bulb? Any experiences?

Hi Pete, I have 2 "SUREFIRE M4 DEVASTATOR"'s One of them has 2 A19's (the A19 is an extender that adds room for using 1 extra CR123 cell. you need 2 of them to add length to fit a third Pila 168s OR I think the new cell is the Pila 600s) and I use 3 Pila 168s cells to power it with the MN61 350 lumen lamp. I have done this for awhile (more than a year at least )and have had no ill effects. I have had several folks warn me of "stacking three" and based upon their well meant concern I do not recommend it. I just do it. Not sure that helps.
