SF MN11 and IMR18500's - safe?

Doing research on the forum on MN11 LA's for my M3's. I ran across a post that says the MN11 will be overdriven to the point of if driven by 17500's. So I assume the same for 18500's.

Is this correct?

Also, does anyone know how many amps the MN10 and MN11 pull?

I think you're safer with the LOLA (MN10) lamp (less risk of insta-flash). If you are going to run strictly rechargeables, I highly recommend LumensFactory lamps: HO-M3 and EO-M3.

This thread will give you much information about current draws.
Do not run MN11 with pair of 17500 (too much load)
MN11 will be sevierly overdriven with pair of IMR 18500
MN11 can be overdriven by pair of 17670 and a cell extender.
MN10 also is somewhat safe with pair of IMR18500

Thanks for the info. I've switched to the EO-M3 with the IMR18500's.

Well, it may not be smart, but I've gone back to running the MN11 in my 'carry' M3 on IMR18500's. The beautifully white, bright beam is just too good to pass up. And sometimes this hobby just needs a fun factor emphasized.
