I got bored today at work and decided to improve upon a home-made shift light for my project car..
Here is the original thread.. http://www.v6z24.com/jbodyforum/10-shift-light-how-to-t104843.html
and the improved version:
3 1W red Luxeon LED's in series, 12V regulator running directly off of the OBD1 ECM's shift light output. They are thermal epoxied to a thin copper heatsink. Of course, mounted inside an old junk Maglite-AA.
I can program the trigger time through the computer itself with Tunerpro.
Yes they are overdriven but they're only on for about 1-2 sec at a time so they should be fine. These LED's came out of a module removed from a blown down traffic light.

and compared to my blue A2
Just thoguht i'd share..
