I got a response on 7/10/2007:

Jim Schecter, Director Support Services at Novatac has assured me that the bezel will be able to removed with a reasonable amount of effort.

And Novatac also indicated that the HDS lenses will fit as well. So those of us who have lens kits don't need to buy a glass lens!

If it's just loctite, heat up and off it comes. No worse than the G2 lens.
