Solarforce sci-ce

Is this a solarforce clone as i cant find any information on it, i got it a while back on ebay and want to change the led with a drop in one if possible ??
Any help would be great thanks

The only info on the torch is solarforce sci-ce and solarforce.net

Im not sure what drop in it uses if any really, if i take the head off all i can see is the bottom of it not sure if the head opens again ??

hmm...i've never seen that one before. Can you take the head apart any further? because if it is some sort of p60 like module you probably wont be able to get it out unless you do. it looks like it has reverse polarity protection though!

I have tried to take the head apart but it really doesnt want to move

I might be wrong, but it doesn't look like a clone to me.... Considering my experience with Solarforce, a clone would likely be an improvement.

Its probably the same construction and quality but with a different name on it.

I think it's a knockoff the weird font the sci-ce is written in doesn't match any type of font I've seen on the real lights and the tailcap just doesn't match up with any style tailcap in their lineup. Couldn't find that light on their solarforce.hk site either. Strange that they would even knock off the solarforce web address too.
