This is one fine specimen of a laser, but I must sell it so I can make an even stronger one It's got a current regulated driver at 463mA. Runs off 2xCR123A or RCR123A. Has a large aluminum heatsink. Glass lens AR coated for red. Focus adjustable. This can pop balloons or light matches at phenomenal distances! Balloons at near 50ft. and matches around 12ft. It can even light a cigarette Now for pics and vids!

What's it got inside that makes it harder, better, faster, stronger (watched your other vids )?

Dr.Lava/Daedal/other, open/closed can (brand also), glass/plastic, etc.?

It has a daedal driver, long closed can diode from a 6x blu-ray burner, aixiz glass lens.

How's the finish? Are there scratches on the body and the tailcap?

It has a few tiny scratches here and there but those were there when I got it. Nothing too significant. Also what you see in the pics there is dust/dirt and not scratches.

EDIT: Also that red spot on the tailcap is not even there lol I have no idea why that is there.

It sure is! It's a great laser! One of my favorites. However I'll have a new favorite soon I'm building a 1W red laser that's gonna make everything I've ever done look silly

Nice grab ernsanada you'll have fun with that. I have 315mW red burner in a 14500 host with copper sink and it pops balloons from the furthest straight shot in my house about 45 feet. The beam is visible even at dusk and is very impressive at nighttime for a red beam.

Thanks Yea I'm doing new laser projects all the time.

Well, if you are going to make one, why not make two!

Well that all depends. My new laser is going to be a lab style host. Just a solid brick of aluminum with fins and possibly TEC cooled. I'm gonna have to figure out the lens assembly as well. I'll be using a c-mount multi-mode laser diode and they're not too easy to collimate. All that aside, I got an INSANE deal on this laser diode and not sure if I'll ever get the same deals again. Total cost of parts for this new 1W red build is only $130. Any other time we're talking WELL over $750 for these parts. $500+ for the diode itself!
