India sinks the wrong ship--a hijacked Thai trawler. Yet another reason why intercepting pirates seems to be a difficult task. The combined naval firepower of the world's militaries isn't the issue--it usually isn't. Like most police actions, you must sort the criminals from the innocents, and deal with each according to law--and good judgement.

Lightraven beat me to the hijacked trawler issue. A key issue in enforcing the law is having the appropriate laws in place to enforce. Right now it's not a pretty legal picture.
